Fibo Fitness trade fair with a new structure

The Fibo Fitness Fair in Cologne will be presenting a new concept

October 11, 2017

New concepts will make the trade fair even more attractive

The organizers are closing the triple structure and want to offer an expanded specialist visitor program as well as so-called "silence slots", which should enable the exhibitors to conduct discussions in silent areas. Approximately 1,100 exhibiting companies are expected. More than 82 percent of the exhibition space has already been booked. In order to enable visitors to move faster and better, the leading international trade fair for fitness, wellness and health will be restructured. "We think fitness holistically," says Fibo Director Silke Frank. "So there will be only the one Fibo. The threefold of the trade fairs is no longer contemporary."

What is offered: Aqua Fitness to Wellness

Studio owners, trainers and instructors are faced with the same challenge today: they need to keep up with innovative technologies, new sports science and medical knowledge, and the increasing demands of the athletes. "Visitors are coming to the show with similar questions," says Frank. "This is why we are organizing the Fibo systematically on the topics of the industry." An advantage also for the exhibiting companies. "The individual trade fair areas become more permeable. Exhibitors thus have the opportunity to address new target groups. " In halls 4.1 to 9, trade visitors will find equipment and innovative concepts for training forms such as Cardio & Strength, EMS & Vibration, Group & Aqua Fitness, Functional Training and Fighting Fit. In addition, the exhibitors will present new products and services on the topics of sports nutrition, fashion and interior design, the furnishing and furnishing of studios. As usual, the Power Division will occupy halls 10.1 and 10.2 of the Cologne exhibition grounds.

The trade fair program will be bigger

The Fibo extends its training and further education program once more and responds to the wishes of the trade visitors: every fifth wants to expand its expertise with the trade fair visit. In the new Academy format, students, course leaders, trainers and instructors could spend three days with speakers who share their knowledge about key business topics such as customer relations, fan involvement, individual course concepts and digitization. The program also includes lectures on topics related to training, such as nutrition, motivation, fascia and trigger points, and medical fitness as well as master classes with international presenters and new group fitness concepts. For entrepreneurs, the New Business theme area in Hall 5.2 is the new stop for Fibo. In addition to start-ups and young, innovative companies, service providers were also presented. Young entrepreneurs and potential founders can get their advice here. Business consultants, banks, insurance companies and franchisees will be on hand. The Consulting Services division provides consulting services for student drivers and decision-makers, for example, to software solutions.

Retreat areas for business: the new Silence Slots

As the most important branch meeting for the international fitness industry, Fibo is also the industry's most popular business platform. More than 82 percent of the trade fair space is occupied. "For exhibitors to offer visitors a live experience as well as business talks in a quiet atmosphere, we have improved our volume and show concept once more," explains Fibo Director Silke Frank. For example, in Halls 6, 7 and 9, there will be two to three one-hour Silence Slots on all the exhibition days so that exhibitors can meet their business partners in a quiet atmosphere. In Power Halls 10.1 and 10.2, the event areas and the stages will be closed on Thursdays and Fridays; on weekends, the lunchtime is from 12 to 14 h as Silence Slot for business talks.
